VIS Rating and Moody's co-hosted the "MOODY'S x VIS RATING: VIETNAM CREDIT BRIEFING" event, attracting leading experts from Moody's, Hanoi Stock Exchange, Vietnam International Bank (VIB), Dragon Capital Vietnam, TPBank, BIDV, and VIS Rating. The event focused on key topics such as Vietnam's position in the ASEAN region, credit trends of Vietnamese banks compared to the region, regulatory changes for financial institutions, development of the corporate bond market, sustainable finance, and transition finance.
Notably, in the "Transition Finance" session, Ms. Phan Thị Vân Anh, Director and Senior Analyst at VIS Rating, emphasized the role of domestic banks in promoting green and sustainable finance flows, with green credit outstanding growing at a 21% CAGR from 2019 to 2023, surpassing the 15% growth of total credit outstanding.
Mr. Dương Đức Hiếu, CFA, Director and Senior Analyst at VIS Rating, also shared insights on the recovery signals of Vietnam's real estate market, forecasting that related risks will stabilize and become manageable in the next 12-18 months due to improved liquidity and M&A activities among developers.
