Business Development Officer - Hochiminh City

Identify sales opportunities, and approach and maintain contacts with potential clients

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify sales opportunities, and approach and maintain contacts with potential clients.
  • Aquire new clients and retain existing clients.
  • Contract negotiation, contract finalization, and annual renewals.

Business Development

  • Involve in market research, gathering local intelligence and data, and sourcing for business leads.
  • Contribute to the development of business plan and tactical approach to acquire clients.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with market participants including intermediaries, policymakers, industry associations, and other local partners.
  • Contribute to the preparation of pitch books, presentation and meeting materials, and business analysis of existing / prospective customers.
  • Attend in-person/virtual meetings with prospective/existing customers to deliver sales presentations and negotiations.
  • Actively contributes to strategy implementation, special projects, and ad-hoc initiatives. 

Account Management & Sales Operation

  • Responsible for contract finalization, contract negotiation, and annual renewals.
  • Responsible for retaining all existing customers and expanding their share of wallet through marketing of tailored value propositions.
  • Proactively manage relationships with existing customers, including addressing customer queries and needs on a timely and effective manner.
  • Manage the administration of the sales process.
  • Maintain compliance with regulations and internal standards.

Branding & Marketing

  • Contribute to planning for marketing and branding activities.
  • Participate in planning activities related to VIS Rating marketing and branding events.

Market Intelligence

  • Collect market intelligence to share with the business development team
  • Constantly scan market developments and trends including coverage information, lead generation, identify targets and cross selling opportunities.

 

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Minimum of Undergraduate degree, preferably in finance, accounting, business, or economics. 
  • CFA/CPA or having exposure to credit analysis will be an advantage
  • Minimum 3 years experience in the financial service industry in business development, sales, or client relationship roles.
  • Having knowledge of the key characteristics and dynamics of capital and credit markets in Vietnam. 
  • Good communication skills, both verbally and in writing, in English and Vietnamese. Having knowledge on negotiation skills.
  • Having the ability to cultivate strong business relationships or partnerhips.
  • Honesty, independence, responsibility, and accountability.
  • Can work on multi-task, having time management skills.
  • Well-versed in PowerPoint and able to produce high-quality marketing material.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel on short notice.
