Mr. Simon Chen is Head of Ratings and Research at VIS Rating, responsible for developing credit rating methodologies and analytical processes aligned with Moody’s standards and adapted to Vietnam’s market context. He oversees rating activities, ensures research quality, and provides training for VIS Rating’s analytical team.
Before joining VIS Rating, Mr. Simon was Senior Vice President, Strategy and Business Management, Asia Pacific, at Moody’s Investors Service, based in Singapore. He has over 15 years of experience in credit rating and research on Asian financial institutions, having served as lead analyst for banks, finance companies and securities firms across ASEAN. He also led research and market outreach for Islamic finance in Asia, and played a key role in establishing VIS Rating in November 2021.
